GVCS PA continues to monitor the coronavirus outbreak and consider its potential impact on our campus community. Our top priority remains the health and safety of our campus as well as preserving the continuity of our student’s education.
What is novel coronavirus?
According to the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, a novel coronavirus is a new coronavirus that has not been previously identified. The virus causing coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), is not the same as the coronavirus that commonly circulates among humans and causes mild illness, like the common cold.
What are the symptoms of COVID-19?
Current symptoms reported for patients with COVID-19 have included mild to severe respiratory illness with fever, cough, and difficulty breathing. Read about COVID-19 Symptoms.
How can I help protect myself?
There is currently no vaccine to prevent coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). The best way to prevent illness is to avoid being exposed to the virus. The virus is thought to spread mainly from person-to-person, between people who are in close contact with one another and/or through respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs or sneezes.
